Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

So there are officially only 30 more sleeps left till Christmas!
The reason I know this so specifically is I have a Christmas countdown app on my phone!
I am slightly obsessed with this time of the year, and I literally wait all year for it!
Saying that, I have already taught three Christmas classes in the past month.
Usually, I only teach one as we have a couple of teachers who do different classes, but last year I designed a Christmas printers tray and everyone kept asking me to teach it!
I cant believe so many ladies love it so much, but its really flattering and I've had so much fun teaching them. They have done some absolutely beautiful printers trays and I must say that I'm super impressed with everyone who attended! We had traditional colours, white and silver, music themed, handmade nativity scenes, countdowns and so much more!
Its been so inspirational to see all of this! I am busy working on a second one for myself, a white and silver, with a touch of gold printers tray, but I am definitely the slowest scrapper, I take so much time as it has to be perfect! Can you tell that I'm a bit obsessed???

Here is my printers tray that I have been teaching this year, I hope it inspires you to give it a try:)

The finished tray is 11x11 inches so its the perfect size to display on your mantle or side board. I forgot to switch them on for the picture, but the lights on the tree work! Super cute!

Have a fabulously crafty day!

My first BIG class!

A couple of months ago I was asked if I would like to be a guest teacher at Jenny Spicer's I-Scrap convention. I was very nervous about this as there would be 50 ladies attending the event and I had never taught so many ladies at once. After some thought and careful consideration I decided to just go for it. I am so glad that I did! It was fantastic! I had such a great time teaching the ladies and they seemed to have a great time doing their layouts.
It was a super fast paced class as I had designed THREE layouts to do in the three hours!
I was very impressed with what the ladies all did!
I used the Teresa Collins Memorabilia range which is absolutely stunning!

Here are the three layouts that I designed.

Explore was the first one I taught. It included a flap on the left side of the page and was all about my time in Paris.

Love the Moment was the second layout I did, it was more of a free flowing, collage style layout.

The last layout I did was a single page using lots of the die cuts that I had left over.

It was super fun teaching my first BIG class!

Have a wonderful week everyone!

On the Farm

This is one of the latest layouts that I have done. It was a pretty quick one to put together. I have had the Doodlebug farm things for a while now and have been really wanting to use them. I was looking through some photos from last year and found this sweet one of the calf drinking from its mother. I knew I had to use it! It was just too cute!  Only after I took the photo of my lo I realised I forget to add the journalling to the journalling spot:)

Im busy working on my Christmas project at the moment. Christmas is my favourite time of the year! I love everything about it:) I will be teaching my class on Sat the 1st of Dec so I will post pics of my project after that:)

Have a fabulous weekend:)

New Layouts:)

Ok so I'm finally back again. I just never seem to get the hang of this whole talking about myself thing. I really want to try out fr some more design teams but I know that alot of them require you to keep a blog, and keep it updated pretty regularly, so I'm really gonn try harder from now on.

So the only scrapping I have been doing lately has been for the DT for Lets Scrap. I am going through quite a lot of things at the moment and i'm just not feeling inspired. I hate feeling like this. I hate not wanting to do anything. But I know I will get through it and hopefully make the right decisions:)

Because of this, I only have a few lo's to show you today. Even though there are only a few, I hope you will like them:)

THis is the first sketch for my first week on a DT ever! And then there's my lo:)

This is the second sketch and lo for you:)

Heres the third one

And the latest one

Well I think that is enough pictures for now:)
Have a fabulous day

First card sketch

So over at Lets Scrap, I had my first card sketch challenge. Now I have never been a car maker. I never know where to start. I always have very good intentions of using all my left overs and making cards with them. But I never do them. It was quite daunting for me as the other ladies in the DT r pro's. But I did it.  I used some scraps I found lying around and I think it came together pretty well. Im sure that the more I make, I will get better at it:)

So first up is the sketch:
And here is my take on it:

Anyways, better be off:)

Woman's Day Celebrations!

So last week, on Thursday the 9th of August we celebrated Woman's day here in SA. For the last couple of months we have been planning to have a day of scrapping at the shop. We had so many ideas of what to do with the ladies, but in the end we settled on making a printers tray.

After some research I came across one that could be cut on the Cameo. We weren't sure if the ladies would be up for the challenge and after lots of debating we took the plunge and started designing it.

I ordered some stunning goodies for everyone, and there was such such a big selection in each kit that no two projects were the same. We used the Studio Calico, Take Note range of paper. All the ladies got a whole 6x6 pack so they such a variety to choose from. A few other things included in the kit were, Kaiser alphas, prima flowers, craft essentials mirror butterflies, celeb8 chipboard swirls and butterflies, rub ons, twine, glitter buttons, chipboard frames and many many more things.

Here is a pic of my printers tray that I did. I hope u like it:)
After I had made my tray I realised there was soooo much stuff left over so I decided to do a single page as well.
Even after both projects there was a mountain of goodies left over.
We had 19 ladies in Thursdays class and then we didit again on Sat with seven ladies. They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and couldnt believe that they actually made their printers trays from scratch! Everyone did such fantastic jobs with their projects, I cant wait to see them all finished:)
Next week i'll hopefully put up some of the ladies printers tray so u can see how beautiful they came out.

Thats all for now, gotta get ready, we have a class in half an hour:)

Fantastic News!

I got chosen to be on a design team! I am super excited! I have never ever entered anything like this before, but when I saw this challenge come up I thought lets take a chance and go for it. I'm so glad that I did! I was chosen for http://letsscrap.ning.com/ design team.

We were given a sketch to follow, and I chose to scrap some more of my Paris photos.
This is the sketch

And this is my take on it. I hope you like it:)

I used my fav cardstock colour for the background - kraft. Some old MME patterns, Kaiser journalling tags, stickers and rub ons. I made the bunting by punching circles from patterns and folding them in half. It was quite a simple layout, but I had fun doing it:)

I have already done my next layout which has to be in by the end of the month, but you will have  to want for that one:)

On another note, we are having a Woman's day function here on Thursday the 9th of August and again on Saturday the 11th. We're super excited about it. We are doing a fantastic project which such lovely goodies. Hopefully next week I will post pics for you all to see:)

Have a wonderful week, and for those of you in SA, enjoy your extra long weekend:)
