Weekend away

Ok so i'm finally getting around to posting about our weekend away to Knysna - actually Rheenendal to be precise.
I'll just post a few pics coz I dont wanna bore u all to death:)
First up it our cottage that we stayed in.
It was so lovely.
So cute, I absolutely loved it:)
here is a pic of me at the gate which i had to open about a zillion times - and then close it again.

yeah super cheesy photo I know.
moving on, the parentals

There were these two beautiful horses in the fields there so my mom and I went down to look at them and I wanted to take some pics of them. We hadn't even been there for one minute when the owner called them away!

we missioned down to check out what was going on and we saw that he was taking pics of the horses
On the friday night it was susposed to have been the biggest moon in so many years. I didn't think it was so impressive though.

The next night there was an absolutely beautiful moon which was much more impressive.

heres a better pic of the moon, with no edits or anything

This is a beautiful photo of the waterfront in Knysna

the last photo for today is this amazing pic I took of this bird eating a worm. I was pretty impressed.

Dont forget earth hour tonight 8:30 - 9:30pm. Do ur bit for the environment by switching off your lights

Earth Hour

Tonight from 8:30 till 9:30 pm it is earth hour.
This means not using electricity for one hour.
I think thats do able ppl.
Let the earth breathe and have a break.
I'm planning on cooking late for the family so that we can eat at that time in candlelight under the stars.

These r some facts I found out:

•Earth Hour is celebrated on last Saturday of March every year for one hour in the evening starting from 8:30pm to 9:30 pm as per the local time zone

Finally getting round to it

Ok so I took my camera in today.
Good news is that they can fix it.
Bad news is that it will take a while and could cost a whole lot of rands.
Luckily I did not drop it - my dad did.
So anyway, I was able to download all my pics first.
Halleluja! I would have died if I had lost them.
Most of them r from our trip to Knysna, which u will see in another post.
I'll show u my older stuff first.
First up is the canvases I made.

Yeah I made this.
I actually made four of them.
Three as gifts and then I decided I needed one.
Then my little welcome home house project is almost done.

This is still when its in the decorating process.
Ok so what else?
Oh yes, we had an awesome pj scrapping party on friday night.
Everyone came dressed to impress in their pj's.

We scrapped
We chatted
We laughed
We ate cupcakes
We had a great time:)
I'm gonna be off so I can try and sort out my photos now.

Just a quick note...

Ok so I know that I haven't been around for a while but i've been super busy. We went away for the weekend to Rheenendal which was pretty awesome. I took some great pics but then surprise surprise my dad dropped my camera which means it is now broken:( Keep in mind that this is not the first timehe has done this. This is in fact the second time in less than two months. This really sucks coz now I cant get the pictures off it because my memory card doesn't fit in any of my other cameras. Alas we will all have to wait and see if it can be fixed. I'm gonna take it in tomorrow and hopefully its such a minor thing they can do it there and then.

oh if anyone knows of a place in PE that does paragliding let me know please. I have emailed two ppl already but have had no response as of yet. I really need to do something before the end of next month so inbox me if you have any info or ideas:)

Tuesday today...

So today seems to be a much better day for me. Having a great day at work, sorting out the Silhoutte which is so much fun. Cut out some super cute little flower things this morning. I can definately see that I'm going to get extremely addicted to this thing. Its just so much fun, and the possibilities are endless! Have got some great ideas up my sleeve:)

I started working on some canvases last week which has been rather fun. I seem to really be into quotes at the moment so i've been using them. I will have to take soe pics tomorrow for all to see. I must say, i'm really enjoying making things for my home instead of just normal scrapping.
Tomorrow morning we have a class so I'm gonna try and do some scrapping of my own tomorrow whilst everyone is busy. Not sure what yet though. I have been working on this house plac to hang in my room. I first started it at the Scrapbook Studio but I have totally changed it around and made it much more girly and cute. So I think I might work on that tomorrow. Will put up a pic soon though:)
Then on Friday night we are having a pj party scrap and chat atthe shop. Am really looking forward to that. To just get down to some serious scrapping with some great ladies, cute pj's and yummy cupcakes. What could be better than that? These r not quite my pj's but they're close enough:)

It actually seems like my week is starting to fill up which is pretty kewl:)
Oh I totally forgot, I got the best news ever on friday! I won a competition! I won a ring from Jenni Collections. Its a super cute thin band with diamantes all around. I get to choose any colour that I want and i'm thinking about the clear "diamond" colour. Am so excited. Im going next tuesday to pick it up:)

Then, on my way home I got another surprise. Whilst I was waiting at the robots I got given this super cute alice band. Its got all bling and pearls all over. Super cute:)

Lets hope that this week ends as good as the last one did:)

A new day

Ok so I am finally getting around to attempting to start my blog again. This time hopefully I will be able to post more than three entries, and hopefully they will also be entertaining:) Not so sure how entertaining my life is but we'll soon find out.
So, the point of my blog you ask? Thats a toughy actually. Seeing as I dont think my life is all too exciting, I never thought that I would do something like this. But this is my year of trying something new. I turned 25 last month and decided I needed to take more risks, have fun, enjoy life. My first experience with trying new things was bungy jumping!!! Absolutely terrifying,  but we'll save that for another day. So yes, I'm trying something new and exciting (and seeing as I highly doubt that anyone will ever read this I have no problem with that.)

If at any point anyone out there does read this and you have a question or two, go ahead. Im up for anything- in a good way that is:)
So this month nothing exciting has really happened. I'm getting a little worried cause time is running out and I need to try one new experience. If anyone has any ideas for me, just let me know. One of my best friends suggested learning to go diving. It has never ever been on my list of things to do (because I am absolutely terrified of sharks) so I think it will be a good one. I dont think I will do it this month though. My friend also suggested going to Birds of Eden and Monkeyland. I think both those ideas are great, but you really need people to go with you, its not really a solitary kind of adventure:)
I'm thinking about maybe going on some kind of hike or summin, but seriously dunno how I would go about doing something like that. And I am probably like the most unfit person in the world :)
I know what my plan is for next month, to go on the Big Wheel at the Cape Town waterfront, hopefully its still there though. Now most of you will think what kind of an adventure is that? Well I'm absolutely terrified of heights (says the girl who went bungy jumping) and when we were there last year I nearly frecked out when I saw how tall it was!

So I guess I better be off now, going out to a little cocktail party, champagne, yum yum:)
Love ya
PS. Happy birthday to one of my besties for today:)
